Bumbu Desa @ KLCC

There are a few Bumba Desa in KL. The one we went was particularly the first one we noticed. Mrs FoodPacker wanted to eat there because she was intrigued by some of the spicy items on the menu (yup she loves spicy) and who am I to reject her on her birthday.. =) hehe It has a unique concept whereby you can first take a look at the food you want (real samples) over the counter and order from there to be cooked fresh for you OR you can do it the traditional way by taking a seat and let them bring the menu to you. I do not know whether to find this idea refreshing or plain confusing.

The grand ON-TRAY as they say it.

Nasi special. Taste as nice as it looks, as special as it sounds. Surprisingly fluffy.

An overview of what we ate. There's a bergedil hiding there somewhere..

Ayam masak cili api. For the spicy fans. Simply delightful.

Ikan talapia masak lemak cili api. Tender fish with sweet meat, that's what i'm talking about..

Pulut in pengat durian. Not normally durian fans but suddenly we had the urge to eat it and it was a risk well taken! :D

Dishing it out: A fan favourite for spicy food addicts. You will surely be full after this one!
